Blackberry Bliss Protein Shake

Blackberries are like little jewels to me. Their rich purple color and the way their pockets of juiciness shine is uniquely mesmerizing. They are such a beautiful fruit and there is truly nothing like the taste of a good, juicy blackberry. 

These little gems are not only tasty for snacking, but they also bring incredible color and flavor to a shake. With a little banana to offset their tartness and a scoop of protein powder to amp up the nutritional value, this Blackberry Bliss Protein Shake looks delightful in your glass AND does delightful things for your body. It’s an all-around blissful experience!  

Want to make this shake for a quick meal? Add a serving of almond butter and a handful of spinach for some extra nutrients and a healthy dose of satiating fats. I love making a big shake like this for my post-workout meal when I’m too lazy to cook, because sometimes the ease of dumping all this goodness into a blender and sipping a tasty and nutritious protein shake is the optimal choice. Especially when there are blackberries involved 😉 

Blackberry Bliss Protein Shake

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 of a frozen banana
  • 1 serving vanilla protein powder
  • Dash of cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Dump all ingredients into your blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
