Nothing says winter quite like a peppermint mocha. It just screams to be paired with an oversized grey sweater and a crackling fire. Why can’t you order your peppermint mocha at Starbucks with a side of that?! Unfortunately you can’t order a side of comfy sweater, nor a healthy holiday beverage.
Take your wintery coffee drink up a notch with better ingredients that will do more for your body than the 54 grams of sugar you find in a medium peppermint mocha from Starbucks. Yeah that’s no joke. A can of coke has 39 grams of sugar. Point made.
The coconut oil in this recipe froths beautifully in the blender and will help to satiate you longer than a sugar bomb. If you really want to upgrade this recipe and possibly sip it for breakfast, try adding a scoop of collagen protein.
Though I can help you make a delicious and healthy holiday beverage I also, like Starbucks, can’t help you with the sweater. You’re on your own for that one 😉
