A common thing I see in clients’ food logs is snacks that are dense in carbs and fat, but void of much protein. This Mint Chip Shake is the perfect way to bump up your protein intake with collagen peptides! This homemade protein shake is also packed with healthy fats and good carbs, so it will keep you satiated longer. And MOST importantly, it tastes oh so lovely! It’s like a healthy shamrock shake with chocolate chips.

Ok, fine, it doesn’t taste exactly like a shamrock shake lol. It’s a little too healthy for that, but this is the PERFECT way to get your peppermint & chocolate fix. What a dynamic duo.

Mmmmm That Minty Flavor

I used Rodelle peppermint extract in this recipe for that smooth minty flavor that pairs so well with the chocolate chips. I absolutely love snazzing up protein shakes, baked goods and energy balls with all sorts of quality extracts from Rodelle! I even whipped up some Brownie Batter Balls the other day with a splash of this peppermint extract and wowzers were they delicious.

This homemade protein shake is made with collagen peptides, peppermint extract and a sprinkle of chocolate chips, for a snack or breakfast that is both delicious and nutritious!

Servings: 2
Calories: 199 kcal
Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/2 of an avocado
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 2 Tbsp unflavored collagen peptides
  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1/4 tsp stevia
  • 1 Tbsp dark chocolate chips
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to the blender, minus the dark chocolate chips.

  2. When the protein shake is blended, add the dark chocolate chips and pulse a few times to incorporate them.

  3. Enjoy!!
