Sugar-Free Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Sugar-Free Chocolate Avocado Mousse

This keto-friendly Sugar-Free Chocolate Avocado Mousse is to. die. for. Yes that is a biased opinion, since I made it, but from the words of a taste-tester, “I can’t taste the avocado at all… wait, what’s even in here? Wow this is good!!”

You Mean to Tell Me This Recipe Is Sugar Free?! Yep.

Let me clarify first off, that I am not keto. I eat copious amounts of carbs to keep my body fueled… it just works well for me. BUT I am in full support of decreasing sugar intake where you can, so I figured why not experiment with making an absolutely drool-worthy dessert recipe that is super clean!

If you’ve followed me for any extent of time, you are well aware that one of my dearest friends in the food world is chocolate. I love it. I eat something chocolatey almost every day. And I specifically love dark chocolate. The darker the better. (Also packs in more antioxidants and less sugar that way ;)) I will never forget the first time that I tried Rodelle Organic Cocoa Powder and was blown away by how rich and deep the chocolate taste was. Everything I added it to, from protein shakes to baked goods, was better… it was like my taste buds were swimming in a pool of dark, velvety chocolate.

There’s a Secret Ingredient…

You can sure bet that I used this goodness in this recipe. Especially when there are only a few, clean ingredients, it is even more important that the quality of your ingredients is of the utmost. Since I trusted Rodelle to give me the best ingredients for this recipe, I also added a secret ingredient… Organic Chocolate Extract.

Ohhhhhh girl I’m about to be using this stuff in everything. To go back to my initial point, the more chocolatey, the better. You can use it an any recipe, just like you would vanilla extract!

Beyond the fact that this a sugar-free recipe, yet it is and oh so chocolatey, the texture is heavenly! It even stores well in the fridge, so if you want to make it ahead, you can save it for the next day. Disclaimer: I have a feeling you are going to struggle saving it for too long, because wowzers you won’t be able to resist this chocolate mousse delight, especially if you add fresh mint or raspberries to the top. It’s absolutely beautiful and provides the perfect balanced flavor to this dessert!
