Sweet Potato Fries with Garlic Yogurt Dip

We Just Took Thanksgiving Sweet Potatoes to the Next Level

Move over mashed sweet potatoes… the ones topped with marshmallows that always show up at the Thanksgiving feast. (Apologies to anyone who loves those) BUT WHO EVEN CAME UP WITH THAT IDEA?! Seriously who? If you’re like me and cringe at the thought, be the one to bring the switch-up this year. Homemade Sweet Potato Fries with Garlic Yogurt Dip to the rescue!

These sweet potato fries are so herb-y and when paired with this garlic yogurt dip perfection you’ll have a hard time resisting seconds. I’ve made plenty of boring roasted sweet potato fries in my lifetime, but not any more! These baked fries be poppin’ with flavor!

Key Ingredients for Poppin’ Sweet Potato Fry Flavor

From nutritional yeast and fresh basil to an exciting twist of Herbs de Provence, these homemade fries are all kinds of savory. Here are a few key ingredients that totally take this recipe to the next level:

A Dreamy Dipping Sauce (With a Kick)

So we’ve established that these sweet potato fries are packed with taste and THEN you plunge them in this homemade yogurt dip and… magic happens. The yogurt dip is comprised mostly of greek yogurt so it’s high in protein and not nearly as much of a calorie bomb as an aioli. I never fail to get my hands on some sort of aioli when I order sweet potato fries at a restaurant so I thought why not make a healthier version of that. Bake the fries and make the dip with greek yogurt and voila! As mentioned before, no flavor has been sacrificed.

I’m planning to make more of this garlic yogurt dip so I can put it on everything. I used it in a wrap earlier today and squealed with delight when I took my first bite. It also pairs really well with chicken, beef or even veggies as a snazzy dipping sauce!

Enough of me talking about all this amazing flavor. Give it a try yourself!
